COP International USA Calls for the immediate and unconditional Release of MOSOP President, Mr. Fegalo Nsuke

The Council of Ogoni Professionals (COP International, USA) is irked by the news of the arrest of MOSOP President, Mr. Fegalo Nsuke by the Nigerian Police, in the afternoon of January 2, 2020.
His arrest is more provoking as its coincides with the 27th Celebration of Ogoni Day, traditionally observed on January 4th. COP-International, USA views the arrest and unlawful detention of the MOSOP President as a deliberate attempt by the Nigerian government and Shell Oil to disrupt the Ogoni Day Celebration and to cause violence in Ogoni. We therefore call for his immediate and unconditional release.
We also call for calm in Ogoni in the midst of this unwarranted provocation. We call on all Ogonis, our friends and the general public to gather at the traditional headquarters of the Ogoni people (B.M.G.S Bori) in celebration of Ogoni Day, on January 4th, 2020.
We would also like to use this opportunity to inform the government of Nigeria and its agencies, the International Community, Civil Society and the general public that Mr. Fegalo Nsuke is the Authentic MOSOP President, and anyone else who lays claim to the presidency of MOSOP is simply a fraud.
We wish all Ogonis around the world a Happy Ogoni Day Celebration.
Long Live MOSOP !
Long Live Ogoni People !!
